New 2026 John Deere S240

About this unit

The John Deere S240 Lawn Tractor with Accel Deep Mower Deck suits homeowners with a sizable lawn who want to finish mowing in less time and with less fuss. The 48 in. side discharge deck has a deep, flat-top design that helps keep the cut even in tall grass or at a quicker pace, and the electric PTO clutch engages the blades with a simple switch. A 21.5 hp V-twin engine with cast-iron cylinder liners provides steady power. Standard cruise control and a heavy-duty hydrostatic transaxle with side-by-side pedals cut down on fatigue over long passes. The 18 in. turning radius makes it easier to work around trees and garden beds. When the job is done, the wash port with hose end helps clean the underside of the deck, and the easy-level deck keeps adjustments simple. Two LED headlights let you keep mowing as daylight fades.
